Zoltan Nagy
Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1943. From 1967 to 1972 he attended the Folkwangschule
für Gestaltung in Essen, Germany, specialising in photography with Otto
Steinert and beginning work as an independant photoreporter.
Since
1974 he has been living in Italy.

He is a member of the Foreign Press Association in Italy and has worked
with the most important German, Swedish and Danish papers, such as Der
Spiegel, Stern, Die Zeit, Geo, Essen und Trinken, Dagens Nyheter, and
Politiken. In 1984 he became an Italian citizen. He has published a
number of books including: Székesfehérvár, Corvina

(Message from the South), Arc
editors, Budapest 1995; Grand Tour (with Paola Agosti), Inside
Out edizioni, Torino 2001; Genießen mit Puccini, Rolf Heyne

He has participated in
numerous group exhibitions and solo exhibition in Italy and abroad:
in 1995 at the National Photography Musueum in Kecskemèt, Hungary; in
1996 at the Hungarian Academy of Rome and at Esztergom Castle in
Hungary; in 1998 at the Cankarjev Dom cultural centre of Ljubljana in
Slovenia and in Castelluccio di Pienza; in 1999 at the Sabine Gallery
and Hartwig de Haën in Roma and at the Franca Speranza Gallery in Milan;
in 2001 at the National Photography Museum in Kecskemét,
Hungary (with a Paola Agosti); in 2002 at the Budapest Gallery in
Budapest, Hungary (with Paola Agosti); in 2003 at the group exhibitions Italiani
a tavola e Un bacio, due baci…(Italians at the table and one
kiss, two kisses...) at the Mazzotta Foundation in Milan, in 2007 at
the Agorà Gallery in Turin, in 2008 at the Kolta Gallery in Budapest,
Hungary.
A number of his photos are in the permanent collections of various
Hungarian museums.
